The New Hampshire Department of Corrections has an immediate opening for: Accounting Technician NH Department of Corrections Division of Administration Financial Services/Headquarters/Concord, NH Monday-Friday 8AM to 4:00PM with 1/2 Hour Unpaid Lunch SATURDAY/SUNDAY OFF $26,949.00 - $31,356.00 #42266 This full time position will be responsible for various accounting functions in relation to the financial operations of the Department of Corrections. Min. Quals: Education: Associate's degree from a recognized college or technical institute with major study in accounting or business management, or completion of two years of college with a minimum of six semester hours in accounting. Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience.
Experience: One year of experience in bookkeeping or accounting work. Each Additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education. Special Requirements: Successful completion of the Corrections Academy and continuing Certification as correctional line personnel as established by the certifying authority. For appointment consideration, Accounting Technician applicants must successfully participate in a written examination measuring possession of knowledge, skills and abilities identified as necessary for satisfactory job performance.
