The New Hampshire Department of Corrections has an immediate opening for: Accounting Technician NH Department of Corrections Division of Administration Financial Services/Headquarters/Concord, NH Monday-Friday 8AM to 4:00PM with 1/2 Hour Unpaid Lunch SATURDAY/SUNDAY OFF $26,949.00 - $31,356.00 #42266 This full time position will be responsible for various accounting functions in relation to the financial operations of the Department of Corrections. Min. Quals: Education: Associate's degree from a recognized college or technical institute with major study in accounting or business management, or completion of two years of college with a minimum of six semester hours in accounting. Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience.
Experience: One year of experience in bookkeeping or accounting work. Each Additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education. Special Requirements: Successful completion of the Corrections Academy and continuing Certification as correctional line personnel as established by the certifying authority. For appointment consideration, Accounting Technician applicants must successfully participate in a written examination measuring possession of knowledge, skills and abilities identified as necessary for satisfactory job performance. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
