The Position requires candidates to 3-5 years of have hands experience with heavy equiptment like loaders, excavators, skidders and material handlers. Equiptment management experience and 3-5 years supervisory experience required. Travel to nearby locations required.
Candidates with a history working in the Scrap Industry/ Aggregate / Quarry and Road Building are preferred.
General Position Summary &
Responsibilities:
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for adhering to the environmentally sound, safe, cost effective, and efficient operation of all facility equipment as set forth by the Maintenance Mobile Supervisor while ensuring that all of his/her efforts are compliant with the company Health, Safety, and Environmental standards. Duties may include overseeing and ensuring the success of the Comprehensive Preventative Maintenance Program. The Maintenance-Mobile Foreman should possess knowledge of machines and tools including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance, as well as knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and techniques for maximizing operational efficiency.
a) Coordinate any procedural changes or improvements, etc with the Mobile Maintenance Supervisor prior to implementation
b) Monitor operations to ensure employees adhere to established policies, procedures, safety guidelines and state and federal regulations, providing guidance or counseling when needed.
c) Oversee adherence to schedules, assignments, and activities based on work priority, as well as availability of equipment and personnel.
d) Arrange for worker training in safety, repair, maintenance, equipment use, or operational procedures.
e) Coordinate with warehouse regarding distribution of equipment parts and supplies, tool and part inventories as well as the condition and maintenance of shops to ensure adequate working conditions.
f) Obtain quote approval from Maintenance Mobile Supervisor prior to scheduling any outside services or submitting departmental expenditures.
g) Performs mechanical maintenance functions as necessary
1) Equipment & Maintenance
a) Monitors and inspects allocated department equipment to ensure all assets are working within stated guidelines.
b) Review DVIR's and Daily Equipment Inspection reports daily. Schedule repairs as necessary. Safety issues to be addressed immediately (prior to equipment being dispatched/used). Schedule work to be done through Maintenance Office.
c) Report all equipment deficiencies or malfunctions for maintenance or repair to the Mobile Maintenance Supervisor for approval.
d) Acquire necessary Parts Request Form to order parts and/or services
e) Meet daily with EAM Administrator and/or Maintenance Clerk to schedule work
f) Provide up to date list to EAM Administrator/Maintenance Clerk daily of equipment down
g) Review Maintenance Reports and schedule work as required with EAM Administrator/Maintenance Clerk: PM Reports; Trouble-log Reports; Maintenance Requirements Reports -
